Rules for members and visitors
1. Etiquette and Safety
- The Outpost has zero tolerance for harassment from all sources including social media platforms.
- Follow instructors’ commands at all times.
- Avoid dangerous techniques
- Respect training partners’ limits, so everyone can train together
- Punctuality is encouraged. If arriving late, wait for the instructors’ directions
- Personal Conversations on and off the mat, should be kept to a minimum
2. Hygiene and Cleanliness /Personal Hygiene
- Consider showering before class.
- Use deodorant, but avoid heavy fragrances
- Keep fingernails and toenails short
- Cover any open wounds securely
Clothing and equipment
- Wear appropriate attire for each activity. If unsure, ask an instructor
- Wear clean clothing to every class
- Gear, such as gloves, needs to be regularly cleaned
- After class, take all your equipment and other items with you
Jewelry and Hair
- Remove all jewelry, including bracelets and watches
- If jewelry cannot be removed, it may be taped (ask an instructor)
- Long hair must be tied back
Footwear
- Place your shoes on the rack as you enter the facilities
- Use flip-flops(provided) when entering the bathroom
Health
- Do not train while sick
- Inform instructors of any contagious condition, including skin infections. Wait until any infection has cleared before resuming training
3. Memberships, Guests and Visitors
- All members and guests must sign the “Waiver and release of liability form”
- Memberships must be up to date in order to be able to join any classes If you notice any issues with membership or billing, notify The Outpost immediately.
- Visitors must follow all the aforementioned rules and etiquette
- Any items left behind at the facilities will be discarded promptly
